Johor (Jawi: جوهر) or also known officially as Johor Darul Ta'zim (Jawi: جوهر دار التعظيم) is located in the southern part of the Malay Peninsula. Johor shares land borders with Pahang to the north and Melaka and Negeri Sembilan to the northwest. Johor also shares maritime borders with Singapore to the south, separated by the Tebrau Strait, and Indonesia to the west, separated by the Strait of Malacca.
